Summer 2009
July 2009 - 07/29/2009
July 2009
Hello from Tony and Kim,
Hope you’re doing well. It’s been a while since we’ve posted a newsletter and new family photo. The guys are growing up and girls just get better looking.
We’d like to make sure we have your email address to better stay in touch with you in the future, so if you can email us at kim@kimbolton.com or go the website at www.kimbolton.com and sign up there that would really help us.
Noelle and Matt are working hard, Noelle does ultra sound work at Vanderbilt and Matt works at Reliant Bank. Amber is working at a new fancy Aveda hair salon in Franklin and is doing well. Marshall is a senior this year and band is his life. Reese is a sophomore (still loves skating). Both go to Page High School.
Eric Butterworth once said, “Don’t just go through life, grow through life.” As our family grows older and seasons change, we must be careful that we don’t miss special moments as a family. I try to make it a habit to ask my girls and guys, “Have I told you that I love you today? They’ll usually say “yes dad you told me”, but it’s worth repeating, “I love you very much”. So now would be good time to tell you, “Hey, we love you very much and are thankful for God putting you in our lives”.
We’d like to ask you to pray for us as a family and for our ministry. This has been a really tough year financially and extremely slow as far as ministry dates for us. You can see our itinerary at http://www.kimbolton.org/itinerary.php . I was reminded this past week of the story of Jesus walking on the water in Mark 6:45-51. Jesus told His disciples to go ahead of Him to the other side of the lake while He dismissed the crowd (He’d just fed the 5,000 + people). The disciples took off and it started to storm and the waves and wind battered the boat all night long. The crowd was long gone and Jesus had finished praying on the mountain. He saw they were in a storm (believe me God knows what’s happening in our lives) so He started walking on the water to the other side. Mark’s Gospel says that, “He would have passed right by them, but they cried out”. They actually thought He was a ghost. The Message Bible says they were “scared senseless”. Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid, it is I”. Jesus is saying to you and me “Man, Don’t Be Afraid, the I Am is here”. Whatever is coming against you today or whatever you need – that’s what Jesus will be. He is our Rock and our Hope. PTL!
Sorry, I didn’t mean to preach, but I needed encouraged myself and I want to encourage you in the Lord as well.
Again we love you and hope to see you soon, don’t forget to email us.
